De Kuyper is strengthening its social impact by supporting local initiatives and actively engaging employees through volunteer work, such as Volunteer Day, and is further expanding this program to increase engagement and social contribution.
As a family-owned company with strong roots in our local communities, De Kuyper is committed to creating positive social impact in the regions where we operate. We actively support local initiatives and encourage our employees to contribute to causes that strengthen community connection and resilience.
In 2024–2025, we continued to invest in community engagement by sponsoring and supporting a range of social initiatives in and around Schiedam. A key milestone was the introduction of our first De Kuyper Volunteering Day, marking an important step forward in engaging employees directly in meaningful social impact. During this initiative, 50 colleagues from our Schiedam and Dordrecht locations—including members of the Leadership Team—volunteered with Stichting Jarige Job. Together, they packed 1,184 birthday boxes for children living in financially vulnerable households, creating tangible social value while strengthening collaboration and team spirit across the organisation.
Building on this strong foundation, we are committed to expanding our community engagement efforts further. In 2025–2026, we will extend our volunteering programme to include our Middelharnis site, giving more employees the opportunity to participate in impactful initiatives. By scaling up our efforts, we aim to further strengthen our connection to local communities and embed social responsibility more deeply into our company culture.
Through these initiatives, we continue to contribute to stronger, more inclusive communities—while empowering our employees to make a meaningful difference.
